"Summer 1956"
A series of four unique artist-made books that feature a variety of materials, collage, and vintage papers that resonate with the sensual and shifting worlds of a young artist exploring her environment in Worcester, Massachusetts during the post-World War Two era. It was a time of flowery wallpaper, cursive writing, dolly tea parties, polished wood TV consoles, laundry lines, Communism, and polio. Each book includes a five haibun (prose/ haiku form) text written by the artist.
