This project was inspired by a negative experience with women’s sanitary products in 1980. I generated a persona (C. Fannie Burnstein) who wrote complaint letters to corporations as well as made installations, sculpture, and photographs that became distilled in a Heresies #13 publication on Ecology and Feminism. The archive project is a 2019 compilation of project documents, correspondence between Lucy Lippard (Heresies editor) and me, in an artist-made archival box made with three trays to house sculpture, folios, letters, and educated perspectives. These materials reside in the University of Puget Sound (Tacoma, Washinigton) Collins Library Special Collections.
